This weekly drop-in program offers a warm and supportive space for caregivers and babies to explore movement, early learning, and meaningful interaction together. During ASQ Month, families are invited to complete an ASQ or ASQ-SE developmental screen with guidance from our team, helping you learn more about your child’s growth in a fun and relaxed environment.

Each session is designed to strengthen your bond, support your baby’s development, and foster connection with other parents and caregivers.

This program is geared towards ages 0-18mths, but older siblings are welcome to attend.

Fridays in December 5th, 12th & 19th

This month, we’ll be exploring how music, rhythm, and playful movement can support your toddler’s early learning journey! Each session is filled with songs, instruments, and hands-on activities that help build language skills, encourage self-expression, and strengthen social-emotional development in a fun and engaging way.

Open Play Adventures provides an opportunity for children and families to use our space with no set program. Come play, create, connect with others, or get to know the Village space and staff!

Join us for coffee and cookies while your children play. This will be a time to visit with other Low German ladies that are newer to Canada to talk about how things are going for you, as well as ask Mary with LCSS any questions you may have.

Saturday December 20th

2:00 - 4:00pm

Join us for a joyful afternoon of holiday creativity at our Family Gingerbread House Making event! Families and friends are invited to come together to build their own gingerbread houses, sip warm hot chocolate, and celebrate the Christmas season in a cozy, festive atmosphere.

All supplies are provided.

Does your child have a passion for sewing? This program gives kids the chance to create their own Christmas stocking and then sew additional ones to gift to the seniors at The Heimstaed Lodge.

Youth ages 10+ will learn basic sewing skills, work with festive materials, and enjoy a meaningful hands-on project that combines creativity and community giving.
